We play Saturday and Sunday fixtures throughout the season from April to September. For the 2022 season we have taken the decision as a club to play league cricket. We have joined the Chilterns League, and we will be starting in Division 2.
We are continuing to play friendly games on Sundays and also on Saturdays when there are no league cricket fixtures.
The club likes to promote the younger members and we have playing members from 14 to 70 and had the distinction of fielding teams made up of completely father and sons.
The club’s aims are:
- To promote the game of cricket
- To provide a friendly atmosphere to all – players and supporters
- To contribute to the enjoyment and village atmosphere of Fulmer
The club is almost entirely self-sufficient; all funds come from the members themselves and the ground work and maintenance is done by the playing members. The ground was completely renovated a few years ago and benefits from a large modern clubhouse serving Rebellion Brewery beer, soft drinks and snacks throughout matches. The bar area was upgraded in early 2013 and is a great place to relax and discuss the days play and days gone by!
A children’s play area with new modern activities is located on the outfield making Fulmer an ideal place for a family day out.
Net sessions (weather permitting) and team selection takes place Tuesday evenings at the ground. We also look to have a set of indoor sessions before the start of each season.
New players are welcome at all times. If you are interested please head to our Contact page to let us know.
You can support us without playing too. Our LocalGiving page has all the details of how you can help. We really appreciate your support so we can continue to bring great village cricket to you.
